Lunzy Delano Britt

Dr. Lunzy Delano Britt, M.D., M.P.H., F.A.C.S., F.C.C.M. is a general Surgery expert witness from Virginia. He has an active medical practitioner’s license from the state of Virginia and is certified by the American Board of Surgery. He completed his High School in 1968 from the Booker T. Washington High School, Suffolk, Virginia. He completed his Baccalaureate of Arts with Distinction in 1972 from the University of Virginia Charlottesville, Virginia and then earned his Doctor of Medicine, Masters in Public Health in 1977 from the Harvard Medical School and Harvard School of Public Health, Boston, Massachusetts. He further pursued his internship on 1978 and Assistant Residency in Department of Surgery in 1979 from the Barnes Hospital/Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, Missouri. He also completed his Research Fellowship in 1981 from the Washington University School of Medicine, Department of Surgery and Clinical Fellowship in 1986 from Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services Systems, Baltimore, Maryland. Currently, Dr. Britt is a general surgeon at Sentara Leigh Hospital, Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, Sentara Obici Hospital and Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters. He is also a Professor and Chairman of Department of Surgery at Eastern Virginia Medical School since 1994. He has numerous publications to his credit. He has been America's Top Doctors for the years 2002 to 2014. He is also a Fellow of the Society of Critical Care Medicine and The American College of Surgeons.
