He then completed his internship in Medicine I and III Medical Service in 1963 and his assistant residency in Medicine I and III Medical Service in 1964 from the Boston City Hospital at Boston, Massachusetts. He also completed his residency in Neurology in 1969 and his fellowship in Medicine in 1961 from the Harvard Neurological Unit, Boston City Hospital at Boston, Massachusetts and the Guys Hospital at London, England. He further completed his fellowship in Neurology and Cerebrovascular Disease in 1970 from the Harvard Medical School and the Massachusetts General Hospital at Boston, Massachusetts. Currently, Dr. Caplan is the Professor of Neurology at the Harvard Medical School and the Lecturer of Neurology at the Boston University School of Medicine at Boston, Massachusetts. He is also the Senior Neurologist at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center at Boston, Massachusetts. He has led several researches and has numerous publications to his credit.
