He then pursued his internship in Basic Medicine at the Naval Regional Medical Center of San Diego, California. He also pursued his residency at the Department of Internal Medicine from the LDS Hospital of Salt Lake City, Utah. He further completed his Fellowship in Critical Care and Pulmonary Diseases at the University of Utah Medical Center of Salt Lake City, Utah. Currently, Dr. Weaver is Instructor of Advanced Cardiac Life Support at American Heart Association, Medical Consultant to Salt Lake County Sheriffs Department, Consultant for diving medicine of Neptune Divers at Salt Lake City, Utah, Diving Medical Consultant for Cross International Diving of Orem, Utah, Associate Professor of LDS Hospital at the Hyperbaric Medicine. He is a Member of the clinical team in the NIH-funded study of Extracorporeal C02 removal in the therapy of ARDS. Dr. Weaver is a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians, a fellow of the American College of Undersea & Hyperbaric Medical Society. He also has several publications to his credit.
