Levi Dixon, M.S., CXLT, CSP, CHFP, is a human factors and safety professional with experience in Human Factors Engineering, safety, and risk management. He has worked with Applied Cognitive Sciences since 2014, initially as an intern before serving as an Assistant Engineer, Associate Engineer, and currently Senior Engineer. His work has included reviewing discovery materials, accident case files, and depositions; conducting safety and risk management research; performing accident scene inspections; taking measurements and photographs; and conducting on-site and laboratory testing. As an Associate Engineer, he was involved in the investigation and analysis of more than 1,000 legal cases for both plaintiff and defense clients nationwide. His areas of expertise include facility design, falls from and at elevation, workplace injuries, warnings and hazard communications, and automotive incidents.

Dixon earned an M.S. in Human Factors & Ergonomics from San Jose State University in 2018 and a B.S. in Technology, Manufacturing Option, from Eastern Washington University in 2015. He has been a Certified Safety Professional and Certified Human Factors Professional since 2021 and a Certified XL Tribometrist since 2015.

His consulting work has included safety analysis, slip-resistance testing, evaluation of warnings and safety instructions, and product labeling and packaging. He has also authored or co-authored publications concerning slip resistance, friction, human locomotion, visual gaze, and trip hazards.
