Dr. Lawrence Gene Leichtman, M.D. is a pediatrics expert witness from New Mexico. He completed his B.A. in 1969 and his M.A. in 1971 from the University of Texas and then earned his M.D. from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in 1976. He further completed his residency from the University of Oklahoma School of Community Medicine (Tulsa) and also completed his fellowship from Tulsa Medical College. He has a physician's license from the state of Virginia and is certified by both the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics and the American Board of Pediatrics.

Currently, Dr. Leichtman maintains his private practice at Santa Fe, New Mexico.
