He further completed his internship and residency in Medicine from the University of Alabama Hospitals at Birmingham, Alabama. He also completed his fellowship in Hematology/Oncology from the Case Western Reserve University. Currently, Dr. Goodnough practices at the Stanford Hospital and Clinics and the Lucile Packard Children's Hospital. He is also the Professor of Pathology and of Medicine at the Stanford University Medical Center.
