Laura L. Blaisdell

Dr. Laura L. Blaisdell, M.D., M.P.H., F.A.A.P., C.P.E. is a highly accomplished physician and academic expert specializing in pediatrics and public health. She earned her B.A. Magna Cum Laude from Carleton College in 1993, followed by a Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) from the University of Minnesota in 2003, and a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from the University of Minnesota Medical School in 2005. Her postdoctoral training includes a year of medicine at Maine Medical Center and pediatric training at Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital. Dr. Blaisdell is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics (F.A.A.P.) and holds the Certified Physician Executive (C.P.E.) credential from the American Association for Physician Leadership.

Dr. Blaisdell has extensive experience in both clinical and academic settings. She is currently an Assistant Professor at Tufts University School of Medicine and has held a range of academic appointments, including Instructor in Pediatrics at the University of Vermont. She also serves as an Attending Physician in the Department of Pediatrics at Maine Medical Center, where she has been since 2008. In addition to her clinical role, Dr. Blaisdell was a Clinician Investigator at the Center for Outcomes Research and Evaluation at the Maine Medical Center Research Institute from 2008 to 2018. With a strong background in pediatrics, public health, and physician leadership, Dr. Blaisdell is an expert in healthcare management and pediatric care, with a proven track record in both research and clinical practice.
