He also served the military as a Major for the United States Army Reserves from 1970 to 1976 and was discharged honorably. Currently, Dr. Algazy is a physician at the Penn Medicine and the Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Medicine at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is also the Section Chief Hematology/Oncology at Philadelphia VAMC at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and a physician at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and the Presbyterian Medical Center at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He has many several publications to his credit. He is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
