Dr. Joseph William Werthammer, M.D., F.A.A.P is a neonatal and perinatal medicine expert from West Virginia. He completed his B.S. in 1969 from Marshall University and then he earned his M.D. in 1973 from West Virginia University School of Medicine. He further completed his residency at the University of California-San Diego and his fellowship from Harvard Medical School, Children's Hospital Medical Center and Brigham and Women's Hospital. He has physician's licenses from the states of California, West Virginia and Ohio and is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.

Currently, Dr. Werthammer is a Professor and the Chief Medical Officer at Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine at Marshall University.
