He also pursued his fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology and Pediatric Critical Care at the C. S. Mott Children's Hospital of the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, Michigan. Currently, Dr. Meliones is Professor of Pediatrics, Medical Director of Life Flight, Medical Director of Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit and Medical Director Pediatric Transitional Care Unit at the Duke University Medical Center of North Carolina. He is also a President of SCCM Carolina/Virginia Chapter from the State of North Carolina & Virginia and a Medical Director of Pediatrics North Carolina Organ Procurement Association at State of North Carolina. He is a Fellow in the American College of Critical Care Medicine. He has few publications to his credit.
