Dr.JohnPeterRissingM.D.is an infectious disease expert witness fromGeorgia. He hasan active license from the state of Georgia, and is certified by the American Board ofInternal Medicine/Infectious Disease. He attended Georgetown University and Indiana University before graduating from Saint Louis University School of Medicine. After five years in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease training at Indiana/Purdue University in Indianapolis and two years in the US Army Europe, he came to MCG as an Assistant Professor in 1976. He became Infectious Diseases Section Chief in 1980, Associate Professor in July, 1980, and tenured full Professor in 1985. In 2002, he was recognized with the Sydenstricker Professorship and Endowed Chair. Currently, he is practices at Wound Care where he continues to provide a clinical load proportionate with other active Infectious Disease faculty in both Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases.
