Dr. John Arthur Palmer Ph.D., P.E. is an engineering expert witness from Utah. He completed his B.S. in Electrical Engineering in 1991 from the Brigham Young University and then completed his M.Eng. in 1992 and Ph.D. in 1996 in Electric Power Engineering from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He has engineer's licenses from the states of Utah, Colorado, Alabama, Wyoming, Florida and Arizona and is a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator by the National Association of Fire Investigators.
Currently, Dr. Palmer is the President of the Palmer Engineering and Forensics, LLC, since 2009 and an Associate Professor and Lecturer in the Electrical Engineering Department at the University of Utah, since 2016. Prior to this, he was an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Electrical Engineering Department at the University of Utah, till 2016.
