Dr. John Phillip Gearhart, M.D., F.A.C.S., F.A.A.P. is a urology expert witness from Maryland. He also has expertise in general urology and paediatric urology. He completed his B.S. with High Distinction in 1971 from the Morehead State University, Morehead, Kentucky and then earned his M.D. with Honors in 1975 from the University of Louisville School of Medicine, Louisville, Kentucky. He then pursued his internship in 1976 and a residency in general surgery in 1977 from the Medical College of Georgia, Augusta, Georgia. He further pursued his chief residency in Urology in 1980 and fellowship in Paediatric Urology in 1981 from Alder Hey Children's Hospital, University of Liverpool School of Medicine and Medical College of Georgia, Augusta, Georgia respectively. Currently, Dr. Gearhart is a urologist at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Centre and University of Maryland Medical Centre. He also maintains his private practice at Baltimore, Maryland. He is also a Professor and Director of Paediatric Urology at Johns Hopkins Children's Centre. He has numerous publications to his credit. He received the Harouchi Award in 2013 from the North African Society of Paediatric Surgery, Casablanca, Morocco. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Paediatrics and American Academy of Paediatrics.
