John Andrew Drummond

John Andrew Drummond, M.D. is an Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease specialist in Atlanta, Georgia. He is practices at Buckhead Internal Medicine, Atlanta, Georgia and is affiliated with Piedmont Hospital. He Graduated Lee High School, Huntsville, Alabama in 1965. He completed his B.S. from Auburn University, Auburn, Alabama in 1969. He earned his Medical Degree from University of Alabama in Birmingham School of Medicine, Birmingham, Alabama in 1973. He completed his Internship in Straight Internal Medicine from Emory University Affiliated Hospitals from 1973 to 1974. He also completed his Fellowship from Grady Health System in 1979. He is a certified Internist from American Board of Internal Medicine in 1978. He was class president throughout four years of medical school from 1969 to 1973. He was President at Honor Council, University of Alabama School of Medicine from 1972 to 73. He holds Project Medical Director for construction of underground Marta tunnel (110 vertical feet below street level in compressed-air environment). From 1979 to 1981, he was Infectious Disease Consultant to the baseball Atlanta Braves, football Atlanta Falcons and the basketball Atlanta Hawks Commencement Speaker, Lee High School Graduating Class, Werner von Braun Civic Center, Huntsville. He is Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine, Emory University School of Medicine since 1979.
