She holds certifications as a Certified Human Factors Professional, Certified XL Tribometrist, Certified Safety Professional, and Project Management Professional. Her educational background includes an M.S. in Environmental Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, an M.B.A. from the University of Northern Colorado, and a B.S. in Human Factors Engineering from Wright State University.

Since 1994, Ms. Gill has served as President and Senior Human Factors Consultant at Applied Cognitive Sciences. Her consulting work spans several hundred legal cases nationwide for both plaintiff and defense, with a focus on facility design, fall-from-elevation incidents, workplace and industrial accidents, automotive accident reconstruction, consumer product safety, and warnings. She has also conducted safety evaluations for municipal and corporate clients, including the City of Snohomish, Anchor Industries, and the Davis Company.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Gill held engineering and project management roles with EG&G, Rockwell International, and Martin Marietta Aerospace. Her work involved system safety, accident investigation, root cause analysis, and technical task analysis in high-risk environments. She has presented on human factors in litigation for legal and professional audiences nationwide.
