Dr. Joel Edward Frader M.D. is a hospice and palliative medicine expert witness from Illinois. He completed his B.A. in 1970 from Columbia College of Columbia University and then earned his M.D. in 1974 from Tufts University School of Medicine. He further completed his internship at Tufts/New England Medical Center and his residency at the Boston Floating Hospital/Tufts University Medical Center. He then completed his second residency at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and his fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania, Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar. Dr. Frader also completed his M.A. in 1980 from the University of Pennsylvania. He has a physician's license from Illinois and he is also certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.
Currently, Dr. Frader is the Professor of Pediatrics at Northwestern University and practices at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital.
