Jennifer Lynn Yaek

Jennifer Lynn Yaek, P.E., Ph.D., M.S., B.S. is a Biomechanical Engineer. She has over 23 years of experience as an engineering consultant in the areas of accident reconstruction, vehicle dynamics, and occupant kinematics analyses with respect to all types and complexities of automotive crashes including passenger vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles, pedestrians, buses, and light and heavy duty trucks. She also have expertise in biomechanics of human injury, focusing in the areas of human injury tolerance, occupant kinematics, and rigid body dynamics associated with transportation related impacts, sports activities, heavy equipment, farm equipment, falls, and consumer products. She holds a Ph.D. in biomechanics of human injury, with research focusing on child safety in side impacts. She has provided testimony in both federal and state courts across the country regarding her analyses and opinions in accident reconstruction, biomechanics, occupant kinematics, and vehicle dynamics. She completed her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University, magna cum laude in 1994. She completed her M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 1996. She earned her M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Wayne State University in 2012.
