Dr. Jeffery C. Rabin, O.D., M.S., Ph.D., F.A.A.O., Dipl., is a distinguished expert in vision science and optometry with extensive academic and clinical experience. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Physiological Psychology with highest honors from the University of California at Santa Barbara, and completed his Doctor of Optometry, Master of Science, and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Physiological Optics from the University of California at Berkeley.
Currently, Dr. Rabin serves as a tenured Professor of Optometry and Assistant Dean for Research, Assessment, and Graduate Studies at the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry. He teaches courses in vision science, optics, and binocular vision, while also contributing significantly to research and academic development. With over 20 years of service in the U.S. Army, Dr. Rabin has held various clinical, research, and leadership roles, including Chief of the Visual Function Laboratory at the Aerospace Ophthalmology US Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine, where he continues to work as a Senior Scientist.Previously, Dr. Rabin was an Associate Professor at Pacific University College of Optometry, where he taught vision science, research methods, and neurobiology, and directed the MS in Clinical Optometry and OD Thesis programs. His research interests span areas of vision science and optics, with particular emphasis on visual function in aerospace medicine.
