Dr. Jay Paul Goldsmith, M.D. is a pediatrics expert witness from Louisiana. He also has expertise in neonatal-perinatal medicine and neonatology. He has medical licenses from the states of Florida and Louisiana and is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. He completed his schooling in 1962 from the Forest Park High School at Baltimore, Maryland. He then completed his B.A. in English in 1966 from the Williams College at Williamstown, Massachusetts and then earned his M.D. in 1970 from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Bronx, New York. He then pursued his internship in Straight Pediatrics and residency in Pediatrics from the University of California San Francisco Medical Center and University of California and San Francisco General Hospital respectively. He also served as the Chief Resident during his tenure of residency. He further pursued his fellowship in Neonatology from the St. Joseph's Hospital at Phoenix, Arizona. He served the military as a Major in the U.S. Air Force. Currently, Dr. Goldsmith is Clinical Professor of Pediatrics of the Division of Neonatology at the Tulane University at New Orleans, Louisiana and the Staff Neonatologist at the Tulane Medical Center, Lakeside Hospital at New Orleans, Louisiana. He has many publications to his credit. He is married and has three children.
