Dr. Jason Patrick Sheehan, M.D., Ph.D., is a neurological surgery expert witness from Virginia. He has medical practitioner’s license from the state of Virginia and is certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery. He completed his B.S. in Chemical Engineering and his M.S. in Biomedical Engineering in 1992 and then also completed his Ph.D. in Biological Physics in 1997 from the University of Virginia at Charlottesville, Virginia. He then earned his M.D. in 1998 from the University of Virginia. He further completed residency in Neurosurgery and Surgery from the University of Virginia. He also pursued fellowship in Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery from the University of Pittsburgh at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and a second fellowship in Neurosurgery from the University of Auckland at Auckland, New Zealand. Currently, Dr. Sheehan is the Professor of Neurological Surgery and Neuroscience at the University of Virginia and the Co-Director of the Lars Leksell Gamma Knife Center. He has numerous publications to his credit.
