Jan Paul Muizelaar

Jan Paul Muizelaar, M.D., Ph.D. is a Neurosurgeon in Huntington, West Virginia. He had more than 45 years of practicing experience in in the medical field. Dr. Muizelaar has more experience with Spine than other specialists in his area. He graduated from University Van Amsterdam, Faculteit Der Geneeskunde medical school in 1974. He is affiliated with Cabell Huntington Hospital. Dr. Muizelaar has had an extensive career in neurosurgery, neuro-trauma and stroke research. He completed has completed fellowship training in neurosurgery at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. He completed his Medical School from University of Amsterdam (Amsterdam, The Netherlands). He Completed his Residency in University of Amsterdam (Amsterdam, The Netherlands). He is a Board Certified Neurological Surgery specialist from American Board of Neurological Surgery. Previously, he had license in State Medical License, Michigan from 1994 - 1998. At present, he has license in State Medical License, West Virginia since 2014 and license will expire in 2021. He was full time professor of department of neuroscience at the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine in Huntington.
