Dr. James M. Schaefer Ph.D., M.A., B.A. is a toxicology and anthropology expert witness from New York. He completed his B.A. in 1966 from the University of Montana. Dr. Schaefer then earned his M.A. in 1970 and his Ph.D. in Cultural Anthropology in 1973 from the State University of NY at Buffalo. He further completed his psot-doctoral training from the University of North Carolina.

Currently, Dr. Schaefer is an independent expert witness at James M Schaefer & Associates, LLC and is the Co-supervisor of Children's Program at the Schenectady Ski School. He is also the Co-owner and the Lead Organizer of J & K Antiques and Estate Sales.
