Dr. James J. Lynch, M.D., F.A.C.S., F.A.A.N.S. is a nationally recognized, board-certified neurosurgeon with over 30 years of experience specializing in complex spine surgery, including minimally invasive procedures, cervical spine disorders, degenerative conditions, spinal deformities, trauma, tumors, and infections. He performs over 600 spine surgeries annually, including more than 200 cervical fusions, and was a pioneer in introducing minimally invasive and artificial disc replacement procedures to the Reno area.

Dr. Lynch holds three prestigious spine surgery fellowships—from the Mayo Clinic, Barrow Neurological Institute, and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in London—making him one of a select few spine surgeons with this level of advanced training. He earned his medical degree from Trinity College, University of Dublin, and completed his residency at the Mayo Clinic.

He is the Chairman and Director of Spine Programs at the Surgery Center of Reno, Partner and Director of Spine Services at Regent Surgical Health, and Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine. Previously, he served as Chief of Neurosurgery at St. Mary's Hospital.

An expert in outpatient spine surgery and ASC development, Dr. Lynch regularly lectures at national conferences and serves on the board of the Orthopaedic Implant Company, advocating for innovation and cost reduction in spinal implants. He is also active in philanthropy through his work with the High Fives Foundation and his founding of Rounds 4 Heroes during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dr. Lynch is the founder of Spine Nevada, IXE Healthcare Group, and the Swift Institute, a multidisciplinary practice delivering value-based specialty care.
