Dr. James Claude Jackson, Psy.D. is a psychologist based in Nashville, Tennessee. He is one of the world’s leading authorities on depression, PTSD, and cognitive functioning in survivors of critical illness. He did his Bachelors from Liberty University, Lynchburg, Virginia in 1991. Then he pursued Masters and received his degree in Clinical Psychology in 1993. He also completed a second Masters from Rosemead School of Psychology at Biola University, La Mirada, California in 1998. He earned his Psy.D. degree in Clinical Psychology at Biola University in July 2001, completed a psychology residency at the Vanderbilt/VA Psychology Consortium, and was a VA Clinical Research Center of Excellence (CRCOE) Fellow and a Visiting Scholar at the Oliver Zangwill Center in Ely, England, where he received extensive training in neuropsychological rehabilitation. He is a licensed psychologist in the State of Tennessee. He worked at Health Services Research, Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Nashville, Tennessee as a Psychologist and became a Research Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Department of Medicine, Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in 2003. He is a member of North American Brain Injury Society. He is also a member of the ICU Delirium Research Group Coordinating Center, the ARDSNet Task Force on the Assessment of Cognitive and Psychological Outcomes and the Voting Member, Vanderbilt University IRB, HSR Team 2. He has authored over 90 scientific publications in leading scientific journals.
