Jahangir Eftekhar

Jahangir Eftekhar, also known as Jahan Eftekhar, Ph.D., P.E., M.S., M.E. is an expert in the field of accident reconstruction. He resides at San Antonio in Texas. He has completed his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 1975, and M.S. in Engineering Mechanics and Science in 1976 from University of Tehran. He also completed his M.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 1979 and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering in 1983 from University of Texas, Arlington. He has completed over 34 certified short courses related to mechanical Design, Thermal FEM, Energy Conversion, Instrumentation and Calibration, Vehicle Brake Safety and Design, Thermal Energy Systems Design, Vehicle ABS Design & Field Test, Industrial Measurements and Control, Industrial Instrumentation, Low Speed Impact & Injury Pattern, High Speed Crash, Vehicle Rollover, Trailer Braking Systems and Testing, Trailer Brake Design, Air Brakes Design for Commercial Vehicles, Vehicle Seat Design, Elevator Safety, ABET, Energy Audit for Industrial Assessment Center, Motorcycle Crash, Sled Test, Multi-vehicle Crash Tests, Advanced Accident Simulations, EDC-HVE Reconstruction/Simulation, and FARO Reality for Crash Scene Reconstruction. He is currently working at J Eftekhar & Associates/Inno Tech Engineering Services as a Lead Analyst and consultant in the fields of mechanical engineering design, biodynamic, accident causation analysis and accident reconstruction. His current practice focuses on, but is not limited to, liability and general negligence issues in the areas of automotive, rides, products, equipment and machinery accidents and responsibilities include accident investigation and reconstruction, biodynamics, analysis and research of vehicles and vehicle systems, product designs, machine designs, operation and maintenance of failed components, evaluation of standards and codes relevant to these areas. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Texas.
