Mr. Avery's legal experience includes a general law practice in Hillsborough, North Carolina, as well as serving with the North Carolina Department of Justice from 1975 to 2003, where he represented the Department of Human Resources, the Department of Crime Control and Public Safety, and the Division of Motor Vehicles. Additionally, he has served as an Adjunct Professor at N.C. State University since 1989.In private practice, Mr. Avery has been with The Avery, P.C. in Raleigh, NC, since 2003. He also served as a Prosecutor Liaison for the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration - Southeast Region from 2004 to 2007. With his extensive legal background, Mr. Avery continues to be a respected figure in both the legal and academic fields.
