Irmo D. Marini

Dr. Irmo D. Marini Ph.D., D.Sc. C.R.C., C.L.C.P. is a Rehabilitation, Care Planning, Vocational Expert. He is a professor in the School of Rehabilitation at the University of Texas- Rio Grande Valley. He completed his B.A. in General Arts (Major) in 1982 from Lakehead University, Thunder Bay, CAN, and then earned his B.A. Honors degree in Psychology (Major) of Cognitive processes involved in the game of chess from the Lakehead University, Thunder Bay, CAN in 1984. He then pursued his Masters in Clinical Psychology (course work – Clinical Assessment Techniques, Behavior Modification, Counseling Techniques, Learning Disabilities & Clinical Seminars) (Major) from Lakehead University, Thunder Bay, CAN. He is a Rehabilitation Doctor of Philosophy from Auburn University, Auburn, Alabama. He also pursued his Post Graduate Certification under Life Care Planning from the University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida. Currently, Dr. Marini is a (Rehabilitation Counseling) in the School of Rehabilitation, College of Allied Health Sciences, the University of Texas-Pan American (as of fall 2015 University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley). Graduate courses taught include Group Counseling, Medical Aspects of Disability, Psychology of Disability, Case Management, Counseling Techniques, Practicum, and Internship. Ph.D. courses taught include Seminar in Rehabilitation Research, Seminar in Dissertation, Forensic Rehabilitation, Internship, and Independent Study. He also has several publications and honors to his credit.
