Hien Tan Nguyen

Dr. Hien Tan Nguyen, M.D. is a bariatric surgery expert witness from Maryland. His expertise also includes general surgery. He has medical practitioners license from the state of Maryland and is also certified by the American Board of Surgery. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1998 from the University of California, Davis and then earned his Doctorate of Medicine in 2003 from the University of California, Davis School of Medicine. He then completed his internship in 2004 and his junior residency in Surgery in 2007 from the University of California, San Francisco. He also served as the Chief Resident in Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco from 2007 to 2008. He further completed his fellowship in Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery in 2009 from the Johns Hopkins Medical Institution at Baltimore, Maryland. Currently, Dr. Nguyen is the Assistant Professor of Surgery and the Director of Comprehensive Hernia Center at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institution at Baltimore, Maryland. He is also the Associate Medical Director of the Johns Hopkins Center for Bioengineering, Innovation and Design at Baltimore, Maryland. He also has few publications to his credit.
