Dr. Reich then completed his intern and surgery in 1971from Queens Medical Center, Honolulu, Hawaii. He then completed his first residency in general surgery in 1972 and his second residency in obstetrics and gynecology in 1975 from the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital, Boston, Massachusettsand and the Boston Hospital for Women, Boston, Massachusetts. He further completed his fellowship in obstetrics and gynecology in 1975 from the Harvard MedicalSchool, Boston, Massachusetts. He has been maintaining his private practice in Kingston, Pennsylvania from 1976. Dr. Reich is known worldwide as a pioneer in the field of laparoscopic surgery having performed many firsts, including the first laparoscopic hysterectomy, the first pelvic lymphadenectomy for cancer, and the first excision of cul-de-sac endometriosis that included rectal resection. He has special interest and expertise in the field of advanced laparoscopic surgery involving total laparoscopic hysterectomy, anterior rectal resection for endometriosis, treatment of complete cul-de-sac obliteration, and prevention and management of laparoscopic complications.He has many publications to his credit.
