He most recently served as the Upper Structure Lead Design Engineer for the Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, and GMC Acadia. His responsibilities included overseeing vehicle development from analytical modeling to prototype construction and validation.

Mr. Pearce holds an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Northwestern University and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, summa cum laude, from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Michigan.

His work spans design and analysis across automotive and non-automotive systems, including evaluations aligned with FMVSS and IIHS crash standards. He has conducted inspections, photogrammetry, momentum analyses, and data evaluations using NASS, warranty, and complaint data. Mr. Pearce also has experience with fire investigations and CO intrusion analysis.

In addition to testifying and consulting, Mr. Pearce has authored technical papers and contributed to safety research presented at the International Technical Conference on the Enhanced Safety of Vehicles (ESV) and SAE World Congress.
