Prior to his academic career, Dr. Lawless worked as a Senior Scientist at S.C. Johnson & Son in the Product Evaluation Department and was a Research Scientist at the Monell Chemical Senses Center. He has also held postdoctoral and visiting scientist roles, including at the U.S. Army Natick Laboratory and General Foods Technical Center. With expertise in sensory science, product evaluation, and food science research, Dr. Lawless has made significant contributions to both the academic and practical understanding of food perception and sensory analysis.
