Dr. Harold J. Bursztajn M.D. is a forensic psychiatry expert witness from Massachusetts. He is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He finished his Diploma in 1968 at the Eastside High School in New Jersey. He completed his A.B. in 1972 from the Princeton University at Princeton, New Jersey. He then earned his Medical Degree in 1977 from the Harvard Medical School of Boston in Massachusetts. He pursued his residency in Pediatrics in 1978 at the Children's Hospital Medical Center, also from Massachusetts Mental Health Center in 1982. He completed his Chief Resident Program in Psychiatry and the Law from the Massachusetts Mental Health Center. He completed his Rappeport Fellowship Committee from the American Academy of Psychiatry & the Law, he has also finished his research fellowship from the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation Clinical. He further completed a Clinical Fellow in Medicine at the Massachusetts General Hospital Ambulatory Screening Clinic. He pursued his Special Fellow in 1976 in the Department of Preventive and Social Medicine, the fellow in Research in 1980 at the Division of Family Medicine and Primary Care from the Harvard Medical School. Currently, Dr. Bursztajn is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the Harvard Medical School. He is also attached to Mount Auburn Hospital at Cambridge, Massachusetts. He is a Research Associate of the Edmond J. Safra Foundation Center for Ethics under the Harvard University at Cambridge, Massachusetts. He is also a President and co-Director of the American Unit of the International Network of the UNESCO Chair in Bioethics at Cambridge, Massachusetts. He is Executive Board Chair of Global Medical Knowledge, Inc. at Cambridge, Massachusetts. He is a faculty member of the Harvard Medical School Admissions Committee, External Member in Dissertation Committee at the Boston College School of Nursing Graduate Programs. He has few publications and honors to his credit.
