Harold “Mac” Johns, J.D. is a highly experienced attorney and expert witness based in Kentucky, with over 40 years of legal practice spanning General Civil and Trial Law, Real Estate, Probate, Personal Injury, Negligence, and Insurance Law. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Kentucky and his Juris Doctor from the University of Louisville. He is admitted to practice before the Kentucky Bar, the U.S. District Courts for both the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

Currently serving as Senior Counsel at ELPO Law, Mac has an extensive background in both public service and private practice. He is the former County Attorney for Todd County and continues to serve as Counsel for multiple institutions, including the Todd County Board of Education, Todd County Water District, Elkton Bank & Trust Company, and Drive Safe Kentucky. He also works closely with the Kentucky Association of Counties (KACo).

Mac is an active member of the Logan-Todd County Bar Association, the Kentucky Bar Association, and the Council of School Board Attorneys, where he has held leadership positions as Director, Vice President, and President. He is also a past President and Vice President of the Kentucky County Attorneys Association and served on the Prosecutors Advisory Council, representing prosecutors statewide.

Recognized for his distinguished public service, Mac was named Outstanding County Attorney in 2000, and in 2020, he was appointed Special Justice of the Kentucky Supreme Court by Governor Andy Beshear. Early in his career, he co-founded the firm Dillingham and Johns in Elkton and later taught at the Kentucky Prosecutors Institute, contributing to the professional development of prosecutors throughout the state.
