Guarionex Joel DeCastro

Dr. Guarionex Joel Decastro, M.D., M.P.H. is a physician based in New York, New York. He is board certified in Urology by the American Board of Urology. He did his graduation from Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons in the year 2004. Prior to his medical education he graduated with cum laude honors in Biology from Harvard University in 1997. He also did his Masters in Public Health from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. He completed his Urology residency at Columbia University Medical Center in New York. After residency, he completed a two-year fellowship in Urologic Oncology at the University of Chicago, focused on laparoscopic and robotic surgery. He holds the position of Assistant Professor of Urology at Columbia University Department of Urology. He is affiliated with Allen Hospital, New York, New York, Herbert Irving Pavilion and Columbia Doctors Columbus Circle - Pain Medicine Center. Dr. Decastro has wide expertise in Urologic Oncology, Testicular Cancer, Prostate Cancer, Kidney & Adrenal Cancer, Cancer Care, Bladder Cancer, Kidney Cancer, Laparoscopic Nephrectomy, Robotic Prostatectomy and Urologic Cancer. He serves on the review panel of numerous publications, including the Journal of Urology and the Journal of Endo-urology. He has authored multiple original research articles, book chapters, and editorials on urologic oncology. He is licensed to practice medicine in the state of New York.
