Prior to joining Nicklaus Children’s, Dr. Hornig served as the section chief of pediatric neurosurgery at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. Dr. Hornig is an advocate for bringing world-class neurological care to children in developing nations and participates in medical mission trips to South America. He is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, American Society of Pediatric Neurosurgeons. He is trilingual in English, French and Spanish.
