Since August 2002, Gregory has operated as an Expert Witness in police practices, use of force, and criminal defense casework through his own firm, Gilbertson Investigations Inc. His career in criminal justice education includes a notable tenure as a Professor of Criminal Justice at Centralia College from September 1999 to March 2022, and previous roles as a Senior Lecturer at BRANDMAN University and Saint Martin's University. Gregory’s practical experience is distinguished by his roles as a Police Advisor and International Police Trainer in Afghanistan and Iraq with Engility Corporation, as well as his service as a Senior Police Patrolman and SWAT Team Officer in LaGrange and a Police Officer in Atlanta. He began his career as a Lieutenant and Infantry Platoon Leader in the U.S. Army.
