Mr. Zeitler previously served as Principal Surveyor for DNV GL and held senior roles within the U.S. Coast Guard, including Chief of Vessel Inspection in Sector Miami and Marine Casualty Investigator. He has conducted casualty investigations, statutory inspections, and technical audits on vessels ranging from passenger ships to military cargo vessels, including oversight of several high-profile salvage operations.

He holds a Master of Science in Marine Operations Management from Middlesex University and a Bachelor of Science from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy with an emphasis in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. He is an Accredited Marine Surveyor (SAMS) and has authored training materials and regulatory policies used by USCG and classification societies. Mr. Zeitler also serves as Director of Marine Surveying Programs at Chapman School of Seamanship.
