Dr. Gabriel Holguin, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist in Texas and a forensic and clinical psychologist with experience in psychological assessment, forensic evaluation, trial consultation, and expert testimony. He earned a Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Nebraska from 1998 to 2002, with concentrations in forensic psychology and clinical child and family psychology. He also holds an M.A. from Texas A&M International University and a B.A. from The University of Texas at Austin.

Since February 2006, Holguin has maintained a private practice in forensic and clinical psychology. His forensic work includes consultation and expert testimony in criminal matters involving rape, aggravated sexual assault, child sexual abuse, child pornography, domestic violence, and other violent crimes. He has consulted for both government and defense counsel and has consulted on more than 550 fully litigated general court-martials. His areas of expertise include alcohol-induced blackouts, alcohol and memory, memory suggestibility, child sexual abuse, false or coerced confessions, sex offender risk assessment, eyewitness memory, competency to stand trial, criminal responsibility, and the effects of drugs and alcohol on cognition, behavior, perception, memory, and decision-making.

His prior roles include Consulting Psychologist with the Laredo Police Department and NIX Health Care System, Supervising Psychologist with the U.S. Air Force, and Chief of Psychological Services at Kirtland Air Force Base. He is also fluent in Spanish.
