Dr. Gabriel P. Haas, M.D., F.A.C.S. is a board-certified urologist with expertise in urologic oncology. He earned a Bachelor of Science with Highest Honors in Microbiology from the University of Michigan in 1978 and completed his M.D. at Wayne State University in 1982. He completed residency training in general surgery (1982–1984) and urology (1984–1987) at Henry Ford Hospital. From 1987 to 1989, he served as a Clinical Associate in the Urology Section of the Surgical Branch at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, Maryland.

Dr. Haas has been Professor and Chairman of the Department of Urology at SUNY Upstate Medical University since 1995. Prior to this, he held academic positions at Wayne State University School of Medicine, including Chief of the Section of Urological Oncology and Associate Professor of Urology and Immunology/Microbiology. He has also served as Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Uniformed Services University for the Health Sciences since 1987. 

His leadership roles include serving as President of the Hungarian Medical Association of America (2003–2005) and the Northeastern Section of the American Urological Association (2005–2006). He is also the Chief Consultant in Urology at the Albert Schweitzer Hospital in Haiti, a position he has held since 2001.

Dr. Haas is certified by the American Board of Urology (1989) and has participated in additional advanced training programs, including the Program for Chiefs of Clinical Services at the Harvard School of Public Health and the Advanced Laparoscopy Institute in Paris.
