Previously, he was a Principal at Olsson, Frank, Weeda, Terman, Matz, P.C., a role he held from 2009 to 2020, and an Associate Attorney at the same firm from 2000 to 2008. Early in his career, he gained valuable experience as a Judicial Law Clerk at the D.C. Court of Appeals and interned at Hyman, Phelps, and McNamara, P.C.In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Phelps is a respected educator. He has served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at George Mason University School of Law, teaching Food and Drug Law since 2019. He also has a longstanding role as a primary instructor for the FDA’s CDRH Staff College, where he has taught “Introduction to FDA Law” for over a decade. Mr. Phelps has further demonstrated his expertise as a Judge for the Medical Technologies category of the Rice Business Plan Competition and as a faculty member for other industry-specific programs.
