Dr. Ernest Scott Monrad, M.D., C.M. is an internal medicine expert witness from New York. He also has expertise in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. He completed his Bachelor of Arts in 1975 from the Harvard University and then earned both his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) and Master of Surgery in 1979 from McGill University Medical School in Montreal, Quebec. He then completed internship in medicine in 1980 and residency in 1982 from the England Medical Center Hospital. He further completed fellowship in 1985 from the the Cardiovascular Division of the Harvard Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. He was also a research fellow from 1985 to 1986 at the Cardiology Department of the Medizinische Poliklinik, Universitaetsspital at Zurich, Switzerland. Currently, Dr. Monrad is the Training Program Director in Cardiovascular Diseases, Director of Cardiovascular Quality and Vice Chief of Cardiology, Patient Safety and Quality at Montefiore. He also serves as Professor of Clinical Medicine at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He resides in New York. He can speak French, German, Spanish and Italian in addition to English.
