He then completed his first residency in 1992 and research fellowship in 1994 from the Columbia University at New York City, New York. He further completed his second residency in 1996 and fellowship in Trauma and Critical Care Fellow in 1997 from the Maimonides Medical Center and the Coney Island Hospital at Brooklyn, New York. Currently, Dr. Goodman is the Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine at New York City, New York and the Chief of Bariatric Surgery and Attending Surgeon at the Montefiore Medical Center at Bronx, New York. He is also the Assistant Professor at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and is affiliated with the Mount Sinai Brooklyn at Brooklyn, New York and the Mount Sinai Hospital and the Mount Sinai Beth Israel at New York City, New York.
