He graduated from the Temple University School of Medicine from 1971 to 1975, with subsequent training in Internal Medicine at Northwestern University, Chicago, Illinois, and in Infectious Diseases at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at Houston, Texas from 1975 to 1981. He has been practicing Internal Medicine/Infectious Diseases subspecialty medicine in Houston, Texas since 1981 at Rensimer & Associates and at the International Medicine Center. He holds a Certificate of Knowledge in Clinical Tropical Medicine and Travelers’ Health (American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene) and a Certificate in Travel Health (International Society of Travel Medicine).
