Dr. Edward Harvey Karotkin, M.D. is a pediatrics expert witness from Virginia. He has an active medical practitioner’s license from the state of Virginia and is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. He has expertise in neonatal transport, neonatal sepsis, ventriculitis and group B Streptococcal disease. He completed his B.S. in 1965 from the Union College at Schenectady, New York and then earned his Master’s Program in Microbiology in 1967 from the University of Denver at Denver, Colorado. He then earned his M.D. in 1971 from the Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He further pursued his internship and residency in pediatrics from the Mt. Sinai Hospital at New York, New York. He was a Major in Medical Corps of the United States Army in Moncrief Army Hospital at Columbia, South Carolina from 1975 to 1977. Currently, Dr. Karotkin is the Medical Director of Resource Mothers Program, Medical Director of Neonatal-Perinatal Outreach Center of Virginia and North Carolina and also the Community Outreach Medical Coordinator of Children's Health Systems at the Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters. He is also a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
