Dr. Edward Stuart Bessman, M.D., M.B.A. is an emergency medicine expert witness from Maryland. He earned his B.A. in 1977 from The Johns Hopkins University and then earned his M.D. in 1911 and his M.D. in 1992 from Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He further completed his residencies from University of Maryland Medical Center. Later he earned his M.B.A. in 2011 from The Johns Hopkins University - Carey Business School. He has a physician’s license from the state of Maryland and is certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine.

Currently, Dr. Bessman is the Director of Emergency Medicine and Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. Additionally, he is the Medical Specialist, Urban Search and Rescue Task Force MD-TF1 at FEMA. Prior to this, he was the Sr. Director of Faculty Practice in Department of Emergency Medicine at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

He has additional knowledge in life sciences, science, research, data analysis, clinical diagnostics, healthcare management, medicine, EMR, epidemiology and neuroscience.
