Dr. Douglas Scott Katz, M.D. is a physician based in Mineola, New York. He is Board certified in Diagnostic Radiology. He did his graduation from State University of New York at Stony Brook Health Science Center School of Medicine in the year 1990. He did his Residency in Diagnostic Radiology from SUNY Upstate Medical University in 1995. He completed his Fellowship in Body Imaging at Stanford University Hospital in 1996. He is the Director of Body Imaging and Vice Chair for Clinical Research and Education at Winthrop-University Hospital, Mineola, Long Island, NY. He has been Professor of Clinical Radiology at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Stony Brook's School of Medicine since 2003. He has co-authored 597 publications and abstracts, as well as two books. Named the Radiological Society of North America’s (RSNA) Editorial Fellow in 1999, Dr. Katz over the years has served in various editorial capacities for both the American Journal of Roentgenology (AJR) and Radiology. He has been a distinguished reviewer and a top reviewer in volume for the AJR for the past several years. Dr. Katz has been awarded Attending of the Year five times at his institution (including twice in internal medicine), is the 2012 SUNY at Stony Brook School of Medicine Alumnus of the Year, and most recently was awarded his institution's top academic award, the Dr. Martin Spatz Award for Academic Excellence.
