Dorothy Haraminac earned her bachelor’s degree from McNeese State University and her master’s degree from University of Houston, C.T. Bauer College of Business. She is a Certified Fraud Examiner and a member of The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) and a Master Analyst in Financial Forensics accredited by National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA). She is also a Licensed Private Investigator and a Licensed CE Instructor from Texas Department of Public Safety.
Haraminac is the founder of YBR Consulting Services, LLC. She is the Co-owner of GreenVets. Currently she is a professor of Cyber Engineering and Council of Industry Advisor at Houston Christian University.
She is one of the first U.S. court-qualified experts on bitcoin asset and cryptocurrency tracing. She served on the Litigation Forensics Board for the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA) where she served as chairman. Haraminac received the Houston ACFE Speaker of the Year award, was recognized as one of NACVA’s 40 Under 40 honorees in 2019, and was recognized as a NACVA Outstanding Member in 2021. Ms. Haraminac’s expertise includes tracing cryptocurrency and providing economic damage calculations, fraud examination services, asset tracing and valuation, and other analysis for commercial litigation as well as matrimonial disputes. She conducts investigations and provides corporate solutions through policy, process and technology that addresses physical and digital security risk.
Ms. Haraminac also volunteers her time to train law enforcement, attorneys, and executives on cybercrime risk, blockchain compliance and implementation, and gathering evidence in emerging technology such as bitcoin, ethereum, ripple, and other blockchain tokens.
