Dean F. Sittig

Dr. Dean F. Sittig, Ph.D., M.S., B.S. is Bioengineering, Medical Informatics, Health Information Technology Expert witness from Houston, Texas. He was born at Bellefonte, Pennsylvania. Dr. Sittig completed Ph.D. in Medical Informatics from The University of Utah in 1988. He completed M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University in 1984. Dr. Sittig completed his B.S. in Science from The Pennsylvania State University in 1982. Dr. Sittig is currently appointed as Christopher Sarofim Family Professor of Biomedical Informatics and Bioengineering at the School of Biomedical Informatics, University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. He is also Director of Ph.D. Program for School of Biomedical Informatics, UT Health. He is an Adjunct Professor Health Services Research Section of the Department of Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas. Dr. Sittig was a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medical Informatics at Oregon Health & Sciences University. He was an Associate Research Scientist in Anesthesiology at Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Sittig was an Assistant Professor of Biomedical Informatics & Engineering at Vanderbilt University. He was also an Associate Research Professor in Department of Computer Medicine at George Washington University. Dr. Sittig was an Instructor in Medicine and an Assistant Professor of Medicine of Harvard Medical School.
