Dr. David Procter Thomson, M.D., M.S., M.P.A. is an emergency medicine expert witness from North Carolina. He also has expertise in emergency medical services. He has active medical practitioner’s license from the state of North Carolina and is certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Thomson completed his B.A. from the Wabash College at Crawfordsville, Indiana and then earned his M.S. from the Ball State University at Muncie, Indiana. He then completed his M.P.A. from the Syracuse University at Syracuse, New York and then earned his M.D. in 1987 from the University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine at Cincinnati, Ohio. Dr. Thomson further completed his residency from the University of Pittsburgh at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Currently, Dr. Thomson is the Medical Director of Vidant Medical Transport, the Vice Chair of the MedEvac Foundation International and the Association of Air Medical Services. He is also the clinical professor of the Brody School of Medicine, East Carolina University and the Medical Director of East Care.
