David John Schretlen, Ph.D., M.A., B.A., A.B.P.P.-C.N. is as an Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, as well as an Associate Professor of Radiology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He is board-certified in clinical neuropsychology, and works at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he sees patients, teaches, and conducts research. His other expertise includes Behavioral Medicine, Bipolar Disorder, Lesch-Nyhan Disease, Neuropsychological Assessment and Intervention, Neuropsychology, Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Psychologist, Psychology, Schizophrenia, Traumatic Brain Injury. He completed his B.A. from San Jose State University in Psychology/Economics in 1978, M.A. in Experimental Psychology from San Jose State University in 1981. He earned his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from University of Arizona in 1986. He completed his internship at McLean Hospital, Harvard Medical School, and a post-doctoral residency in neuropsychology and rehabilitation at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute. While at UCLA, Dr. Schretlen was awarded a Mary E. Switzer fellowship by the National Institute of Disability and Rehabilitation Research. He completed his Postdoctoral Residency in clinical neuropsychology and rehabilitation from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute) and Daniel Freeman Memorial Hospital from 1986 to 1988. Dr. Schretlen has served as a grant reviewer for the National Institutes of Health and the Veterans Administration Medical Center. He was licensed in Psychologist, State of Maryland and State of California. He was National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology. He was also Diplomate in Clinical Neuropsychology, American Board of Professional Psychology.
